Major League Soccer (MLS) side Montreal Impact are keen to have Orji Okwonkwo back in their fold for 2020 season, the club sports director Olivier Renard has said.
The Nigeria U23 international returned to his parent club Bologna in January after his loan deal at the Canada-based club ended this past season.
When asked about the club’s Most Valuable Player for the 2019 season, sports director Olivier Renard simply said: “The plan is for Okwonkwo to be back in Montreal for the 2020 season.”
If this transfer went through, the 21-year-old forward, who scored eight goals in 28 games last season, will play under Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry.
