Swedish sports director Jesper Jansson has brought Akinkunmi Amoo on trials to Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.
It was Jansson who first signed Amoo for Swedish club Hammarby and he is now at Omonia Nicosia, who finished sixth last season in the league.
Amoo has a contract till the end of 2026 with Danish club FC Copenhagen, but his recent trials over rape charges may lead to an early termination of this agreement.
Amoo suffered a cruciate ligament injury, which has sidelined him for several months, but he is expected to be fully fit again soon.
