World champions Spain fear the Super Falcons going into tomorrow’s decisive Paris Olympics Group C clash in Nantes, according to the President of the Nigerian supporters’ club who are in France for the Paris Olympics.
The supporters club boss Vincent Okumagba, claimed Spain will be apprehensive against the Super Falcons, who will fight after the loss against Brazil.
“Spain are world champions, but they are also beatable, they are even afraid of us (Super Falcons),” said Okumagba, who has made the six-hour drive from Bordeaux to Nantes for this match.
“The girls are wounded after the narrow loss to Brazil, but with the Nigerian spirit we won’t lose this match. “Everyone is rooting for Spain and have already written off Nigeria.”
Okumagba added: “We gave Brazil a tough match, but it’s the result we want.
“We should score goals because we must get something from this tournament.”
