The Falconets tonight advanced to the Round of 16 of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Cali, Colombia, on the back of a 4-0 spanking of Venezuela.
They recorded six points from three matches to join group winners Germany in the knockout rounds of the World Cup.
The Nigerian ladies raced into a 4-0 lead in the first half with goals by Aminat Bello (16th minute), Chiamaka Okwuchukwu (28th minute) and Sebastine Flourish (first half stoppage time).
It was the second goal by Flourish in the tournament.
Joy Igbokwe made it 4-0 in added time.
