Ashleigh Plumptre is the latest Nigeria international to join the football money train in Saudi Arabia.
The Super Falcons defender has signed for Al Ittihad as a free agent after she did not renew her contract with English club Leicester City women’s team.
”Grateful to sign for Al Ittihad,” Plumptre announced after she signed for the Riyadh club.
“Excited to start this journey alongside some incredible human beings.
“My journey of stepping more into myself continues…it’s more than football.”
Veteran midfielder Rita Chikwelu is also now plying her trade in the oil-rich kingdom.
The Super Eagles stars in the Saudi top league presently include Odion Ighalo, Henry Onyekuru, Anthony Nwakaeme and Godwin Saviour.
