Paul Onuachu is expected to start again, while fellow Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers returns to the substitutes’ bench for Genk against Cercle Brugge at home tonight.
Onuachu is the leading scorer in the league with 24 goals, but he was an unused sub Thursday when Genk thrashed KV Mechlen 4-1 to reach the semifinal of the Belgium Cup.
It was reported the 26-year-old striker was rested after a string of lethargic performances lately.
In the place of the Genk giant striker Dessers, 25, provided two assists, but failed to add to the four goals he has scored in the league this season.
Dessers was Goal King in Holland last season with 15 goals but he has struggled to establish himself at hometown club Genk no thanks to the blazing-hot form of Onuachu.
After a poor patch of form, Genk have now slipped to third on the table with 46 points from 29 matches.
