Barnsley manager Valenrien Ismael has described Daryl Dike’s winning goal in a 1-0 win over Birmingham City as “unbelievable”.
Dike in the 49th minute fired a rocket into the roof of the net for the only goal of the game.
Barnsley are now in the top six on the league table and so within the promotion playoffs bracket.
“In my 28 or 29 years in football, I have never seen a strike like that before. It was something unbelievable,” an impressed Ismael raved.
“Congratulations to Dike and the guys for a great win.”
Dike has now scored three goals in the team’s last four games.
He is on loan from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Orlando City FC.
