Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has commented on his transfer situation as he has not enjoyed regular game time at Southampton.
Aribo said he has received offers for a return to Scotland, but has chosen to battle it out in England.
“I had some offers down south but I chose to go away from home, come out of my comfort zone – which is so important for your own growth personally,” said the former Rangers star.
“So, for me, life is about little steps to get to your goal and that’s why I made the choice to go up there.
“And then why I came back to Southampton.”
This season, Aribo has enjoyed only 114 minutes of football, but new Southampton boss Tonda Eckert said he is happy with the player.
“I am very happy with Joe,” he remarked. “He has been excellent every time he has come on, and he is in good shape.”
