Super Eagles are still the 31st best team in the world, according to the latest rankings released by FIFA today.
They are also the third best team in Africa after Senegal and Tunisia.
The national team have not been involved in any matches this year and so maintained their previous ranking like most other teams.
It was the rating that was used to seed teams for the second round of the qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar last month in Egypt.
It is believed the Eagles will improve their rankings with wins over fellow West Africans Sierra Leone when both teams clash in a double header 2021 AFCON qualifier next month.
Nigeria top their qualifying group that also has Benin and Lesotho after winning their first two matches.
