New Super Eagles call-up Kingsley Ehizibue is expected to get his Nigerian passport this week ahead of a 2021 AFCON double-header against Sierra Leone, SCORENigeria can exclusively report.
He will get it in Holland.
FC Cologne defender Ehizibue was one of two fresh call-ups by coach Gernot Rohr for the AFCON qualifiers.
Heracles Almelo striker Cyriel Dessers is the other new invitee and he got his green Nigerian passport only recently.
SCORENigeria further gathered that Ehizibue has never been to Nigeria and so it will be the first time he will visit his parents’ homeland when he heads down for the Sierra Leone clash.
The giant 24-year-old defender was born in Germany but holds a Dutch passport.
This season, Ehizibue has a goal in 22 appearances in the Bundesliga and Cologne are 10th on the table.
