Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will miss a decisive 2023 AFCON qualifier away in Sierra Leone in June after he picked up his second booking in the qualifying series in Guinea Bissau.
Nigeria lead Group A with nine points from four matches and will need a result in Sierra Leone to stay on track for qualification to the 2023 AFCON to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire in January 2024.
Uzoho was booked for time wasting in Bissau as the Super Eagles managed a 1-0 win on the road to regain leadership of Group A Monday.
The Cyrus-based shot stopper was also cautioned in the qualifier against Sierra Leone for the same offence lat June.
Defenders Calvin Bassey and Kenneth Omeruo, who captained the Super Eagles in Guinea Bissau, as well as midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo are all a booking away from suspension.
