Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle can now sleep a little easier as two of his injured players returned to action leading up to crucial 2026 World Cup Playoffs later this month.
Samuel Chukwueze, who suffered a calf injury in Super Eagles action against Benin last month in Uyo, was a 77th minute sub for Fulham in a 3-0 win over struggling Wolves Saturday.
Chukwueze delivered two assists for Nigeria to fly past Benin 4-0 and qualify for the World Cup Playoffs in Morocco.
Another injured Super Eagles back in action is Raphael Onyedika.
The defensive midfielder missed last month’s World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin due to injury, but he was back playing again for Club Brugge Saturday.
Onyedika played about the last half an hour as Club Brugge stopped Dender 2-1 at home.
Both Chukwueze and Onyedika are now expected to make the final squad for the World Cup Playoffs starting November 13.

Why is it that till this moment chelle still doesn’t have a team, as he keeps adding & subtracting players to the team every now & then, abbah! Chelle.
