Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has insisted Club Brugge will not be intimidated by the pedigree of multiple European champions Barcelona when both teams clash in the UEFA Champions League.
Club Brugge will welcome Barcelona to Belgium Wednesday.
Onyedika said his team relish the challenge they will face against the Catalan giants.
“It won’t be an easy task, of course,” said Onyedika. “But everyone here is looking forward to it. We know what’s coming, but we can’t be afraid.”
Onyedika, who has returned from injury which stopped him from last month’s World Cup qualifiers, was equally bullish on his comeback.
“I worked very hard with the medical staff to return as soon as possible, and today (Saturday) I was able to make my comeback,” he said.
“It’s not easy to sit on the sidelines and watch your teammates play, but of course it had no other choice.”
