Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye could still play a part in the Super Eagles World Cup playoffs against Ghana, according to coach Augustine Eguavoen.
Eguavoen said Okoye has flu and could recover in time for the playoffs second leg in Abuja next week Tuesday.
“He has flu and will miss the first leg in Ghana,” Eguavoen said.
“Should he recover in time, he could be involved in the return leg in Abuja.”
The Eagles have drafted Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble in place of Okoye.
