Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has blasted the controversial TikTok videos by Napoli that appeared to mock star striker Victor Osimhen.
The Eagles coach told Sky Sports: “That video? From the club? It’s one thing if it comes from outside, but a video from the club – that’s the worst. It must not happen..
“He (Osimhen) was sad, it’s not easy for anyone. He doesn’t understand it. He doesn’t understand why”.
At the same time, Peseiro has urged Osimhen, who has scored 20 goals in 27 appearances for the Super Eagles, to stay focused.
“Napoli did something bad. It is clear that he (Osimhen) preferred that it did not happen,” he said.
“But my advice is to keep calm. Don’t lose your balance. Keep the mentality, the personality. That’s what the best players do, and he can be up there.”
Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2025.
The 24-year-old has scored a total of 65 goals and provided 15 assists in 111 games for the Italian top-flight club
