Super Eagles and Portugal have signed a formal agreement for a friendly at Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon on November 17.
This first-ever full international meeting between the two countries will serve as a final warm-up match for Portugal before the World Cup in Qatar.
Portugal, led by five-time World Footballer of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo, open their 2022 World Cup campaign against Black Stars of Ghana, who incidentally eliminated Nigeria from the tournament, a week after this friendly.
Portugal’s other Group H foes are Uruguay and Korea Republic.
Nigeria are handled by a Portuguese coach, Jose Peseiro.
The Eagles are already billed to play against Algeria in Oran on September 27 in another friendly.
