It has been revealed by various sources that William D’avilla, whose agency DW Sports Management handles Super Eagles stars like Henry Onyekuru, Moses Simon, Emmanuel Dennis and Samuel Kalu, is the new intermediary Victor Osimhen has brought to save his transfer to Napoli from collapse.
Lille striker Osimhen has fired Jean-Gerard Benoit Czajka/ Didier Frenay for allegedly pushing for bonuses for themselves rather than the player and this caused the negotiations with Napoli to stall.
It would be recalled that Monaco-based Jean-Gerard Benoit Czajka brokered Osimhen’s 4 million Euros transfer to German Bundesliga outfit when he top-scored at the 2015 U17 World Cup in Chile.
The French agent has worked for many years with Osimhen’s Nigerian handlers and he is reportedly threatening to sue the striker now.
William D’avilla, on the other hand, is believed to have very close ties with Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and that explained the several Nigeria internationals now in his stable.
He first worked with Osimhen when he took him to Belgian club Sporting Charleroi after Wolfsburg told the striker he does not have a future with them.
He facilitated Onyekuru’s transfer to Everton from little Belgian club KAS Eupen as well as the moves of Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu to UD Levante and Bordeaux, respectively.
Other Nigeria stars on their books are Godwin Saviour, Valentine Ozornwafor, Oghenekaro Etebo, Anderson Esiti and Bryan Idowu.
The Frenchman, who is known to make available his private jet to top Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials in Europe, also brokered Ahmed Musa’s mega millions transfer to Saudi Arabia club Al Nasr from Leicester City.
Ahmed Musa and his close friend Shehu Abdullahi have since cut ties with D’avilla.
