Okoye, who made his Eagles debut in last year’s high-profile friendly against Brazil, has recently joined Sparta.
He will be fighting for the Eagles No 1 shirt alongside the likes of overseas-based rivals Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi.
Officials have informed SCORENigeria that coach Gernot Rohr will announce his call-ups for the friendlies in the new week.
He is expected to invite several uncapped players for the Eagles first games of 2020.
