Chidera Ejuke may have been snubbed by the Super Eagles for the AFCON, but he is catching fire on the wings of Belgian reigning champions Antwerp.
After a slow start on loan from Russian club CSKA Moscow, which was worsened by injury, Ejuke is now getting everyone talking.
“He brings electricity to the team,” Frank Raes praised the Antwerp wing wizard on Extra Time.
“He brings a lot of creativity. He is just as important as (Calvin) Stengs (whose impressive displays earned him a transfer to Feyenoord) was last season, but in a different way,” added Filip Joos.
Ejuke has scored thrice in 15 appearances thus far for Antwerp.
His red-hot form may well have come late for him to be considered on the provisional squad to the 2023 AFCON.
