Crotone may already have been relegated from Serie A, but the club continue to fight for their pride with Simeon Nwankwo netting his 20th goal of the season to salvage a point at Benevento today.
Benevento were running away with a crucial home win, before ‘Simy’ again came to the rescue of his club with a leveler deep into stoppage time.
The striker, who looks set to be recalled by the Super Eagles three years after he featured at the 2018 World Cup, has thus matched the 20 goals he scored in the Italian Serie B last season.
He is now set to quit relegated Crotone on the back of his goals and consistency in the past seasons.
