‘Simy’ Nwankwo has joined Italian Serie B club Benevento on loan from Salernitana, who feature in the Italian top flight, after he virtually disappeared from reckoning last season.
There is also an option for the Serie B club to buy him after the loan.
The big striker, 30, had an underwhelming campaign last season when he managed only a goal in 19 appearances with Salernitana with whom he has a loan agreement till June 2023.
His transfer market value has plummeted to 1.5 Million Euros.
