Cardiff City loanee Sheyi Ojo has spoken about his first goal for Belgian club KV Kortrijk.
Ojo opened the scoring against RWDM, who fought back to draw 1-1.
“I was unhappy with my finishing several times in recent matches. The coach still thinks that I should shoot a lot more at goal, that is also true. I keep that in the back of my mind, but I am a player who prefers to serve my teammates with a good pass. I am not a selfish footballer,” the winger said.
Despite putting KV Kortrijk ahead, Ojo could not celebrate victory.
“They had more ball possession. I thought we were good defensively and that we did not create much offensively. You have those matches,” he said.
“It was difficult to give full throttle, because the boys were still tired from the match at Dender van last week. We have to dominate the game more with the ball at our feet. Hopefully that will happen.”
Struggling Kortrijk face a Herculean task Sunday when they come face-to-face with league leaders Union St.Gilloise.
