Leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League Paul Onuachu admitted it was not easy to score another brace and take his goals tally to an impressive 14 after Genk beat Antwerp 4-2 today.
“We wanted to show that we could also play our game against a top club. We did that today: we were stronger than them,” an excited Onuachu after Genk seventh straight win in the league.
“No, it was certainly not easy. I had to work hard for this. Like that first goal: I trained hard for that this week.”
Compatriot Cyriel Dessers was also on target for Genk to take his haul to four for the season.
Last season, the 26-year-old striker netted nine goals.
Next week, Onuachu will lead Genk to Anderlecht in continuation of the league.
