Victor Osimhen and Anthony Nwakaeme have continued to make impact as their goals and assists keep their respective clubs in the championship race.
5.Anthony Nwakaeme
Nwakaeme continued his red-hot form by delivering another goal and assist for Trabzonspor to thrash Goztepe and consolidate their leadership of the Turkish Super Lig. The forward has now netted 11 goals, four goals behind the league’s leading scorer, and provided 10 assists thus far. Is he too old for the Super Eagles? Trabzonspor are 15 points clear at the top of the table with nine rounds of matches to the end of the season.
4.Sadiq Umar
The Super Eagles striker crowned a great run in the Spanish Segunda Division with his 15th goal of the campaign in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Lugo. He was this past week named as the Player of the Month in the Spanish second-tier league. It is the second time he will earn such recognition as he also bagged the award last season. Hopefully, his goals will finally lift UD Almeria back to La Liga by season’s end.

3.Yira Sor
The former Flying Eagles struck twice in the UEFA Conference League for Slavia Praha to thrash LASK of Austria 4-1 and take a massive step towards the quarterfinals. The 21-year-old flying winger has now netted four goals in this competition fresh from his arrival from another Czech club Banik Ostrava in January.
2.Samuel Chukwueze
‘Samu’ has rediscovered the form that made him a fans’ favourite as he was named Man of the Match when Villarreal pipped Celta Vigo 1-0 to move up the La Liga standings. This must be cheering news for Super Eagles fans, who must have been disappointed with the performance of the exciting winger at the recent AFCON in Cameroon. His long-term injuries had certainly taken something away from his game.

1.Victor Osimhen
The striker again showed why he comes highly-rated with a well-taken brace for Napoli to win 2-1 at Verona. It was a great reaction by Napoli after they had faltered in their title chase no thanks to a 1-0 home loss to fellow title chasers AC Milan the previous week. Osimhen has now fired nine goals in Serie A, just a goal shy of what he totaled all of last term. Napoli are second in the standings, three points behind leaders Milan as the title race promises to go right down to the wire.
