This past week, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman continued to slug it out in an interesting race for who will make history and emerge as Goal King in the Italian Serie A.
5.Chuba Akpom
The back-to-back Player of the Month Award winner and former Arsenal ace netted his 15th goal of the season in a 2-0 home win over Watford and his club Middlesbrough jumped to third on the English Championship table. Both striker and club are enjoying a fine run under new manager Michael Carrick. But with 45 points from 29 matches, they have a lot of catching up to do if they hope to topple leaders Burnley (62 points from 28 matches) and second-placed Sheffield United (57 points from 28 matches) for an automatic promotion spot back to the Premier League.

4.Victor Osimhen
He notched his 14th goal in Serie A in a crucial home win over AS Roma to remain the leading scorer in the Italian top league. He has thus equaled his overall tally of last season just halfway through this current campaign. His opening goal in a 2-1 win over Roma was yet another proof that he is in the peak of his powers as a striker. Can he go on to make history as the first African star to finish as Goal King in Serie A and for his goals to help Napoli to win their third Scudetto?
3.Asisat Oshoala
The Super Falcons star fired a hat-trick for Barcelona to win 6-0 at Tenerife to take her goals haul to 13, just two goals shy of the leading scorer in the Spanish women’s league. Last season, Oshoala finished as top scorer with 20 goals and this term she looks good to repeat the feat with unbeaten champions Barcelona.

2.Kelechi Iheanacho
The Super Eagles striker made a strong case for more playing time at Leicester City after he grabbed a second-half match winner to catapult ‘The Foxes’ past Walsall to the fifth Round of the FA Cup. Since he made his debut in the glamorous cup competition in 2016, he has now recorded the highest number of goals – 17.
1.Ademola Lookman
The 25-year-old forward I without a doubt one of the biggest revelations in the Europe’s Top 5 leagues after he extended his splendid form in only his debut season in Serie A with his 12th goal for Atlanta against Sampdoria. He is now just two goals short of the league’s leading scorer Osimhen and his club are back in contention for a UEFA Champions League place after they suffered a blip in form.
