FLYING EAGLES FINAL SQUAD: ‘Special’ Jude Sunday leads talented strike force to U20 AFCON

The Flying Eagles attack boasts the most talented players in the team led by the stocky but mesmerising winger Jude Sunday from Real Sapphire of Lagos.

Pocket battleship Jude Sunday will catch the eye at the U20 AFCON in Egypt.

He is the special talent in this team with his take-ons and goals.

Ibrahim Mohammed ‘Ibeji’ will be another red-hot prospect to shine after he finished as top scorer in the qualifiers last year with four goals.

He plays from the wings, but could also strike from the heart of the attack.

The team’s new scoring sensation is Adams Olamilekan from Remo Stars, who has impressed as a centre-forward after he has played on the wings for both his club and the Flying Eagles.

He is big, strong, good technique, packs a powerful shot and great movement.

Winger Haliru Sarki is one of the few survivors from the qualifiers. He has the speed to burn and enjoys the confidence of the coach.

Arguably, he is one of the most improved players in the team as he has added goal scoring to his act.

Left-footed centre-forward Segun Otusanya from Stars Builders Academy has been described by coach Bosso as “skillful” and has often come off the bench to score crucial goals.

But does he have the physical attributes to trouble opposing defences at the U20 AFCON?

Emma Uchegbu from Plateau United has in the last few weeks flourished for the Junior Eagles and he will be a capable option on the wings with his power and eye for goals, while all-action Francis Ayuba has dropped in the pecking order after he struggled to deliver against top opposition.

FLYING EAGLES FINAL SQUAD:

Forwards: Jude Sunday, Francis Ayuba, Adams Olamilekan, Segun Otusanya, Haliru Sarki, Emmanuel Uchegbu, Ibrahim Mohammed ‘Ibeji’
