SCORENigeria looks at the top Nigeria performers of the past week during which Victor Osimhen scored twice on his Lille debut in France and David Okereke again showed class in Belgium.

5.Godwin Saviour

The former Nigeria U20 forward enjoyed a great pre-season and he has carried this on to the new season in Belgium after his goal for Roeselare against Beershot.

He opened scoring for the home team before they were pegged back by the visiting team.

This is a make-or-break season for him in Europe after three straight campaigns in the lower division.

Saviour scored for KSV Roeselare

4.Sheyi Ojo

The Liverpool loanee has continued to earn top praise after he scored for Glasgow Rangers in a 6-1 thrashing of Hibernian.

It’s a big shop window for the youngster as Rangers seek to further challenge perennial champions Celtic this season.

It’s about time that he earns a permanent transfer away from star-studded Liverpool after several loans spells away from Anfield.

3.Aaron Samuel

The big striker is on the comeback trail and so a hat-trick for Chinese club Sichaun Longfor can only enhance his profile.

However, his treble was not enough to get his team a result after they lost 5-3 at Beijing BSU.

His club desperately need his goals as they are sucked into the relegation dogfight.

2.David Okereke

The former Spezia star has continued to show class for Club Brugge after he came off the bench to open scoring for them at KV Oostende.

He has now scored four goals in three league games and Club Brugge are top of the table with a perfect nine points.

The big test for the Nigeria U23 star and his Belgian club will be on Tuesday when they try to defend a 1-0 home win over Dinamo Kiev of Ukraine in a UEFA Champions League qualifying match.

David Okereke scores again

1.Victor Osimhen

The Super Eagles got off to a dream start in the French Ligue 1 with two well-taken goals for Lille in a 2-1 home win over Nantes on the opening day of the new season.

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg must now be regretting why they were not patient enough with the young striker, who showed last season in Belgium that he really knows his way to goal.
