Terem Moffi is firing again at the right time as FC Lorient again battle to stay up in the French top league, while Victor Osimhen and Joe Aribo returned to club action in style after the disaster with the Super Eagles.
5.Jerome Akor
The highly-rated centre-forward has taken to the Norwegian top league like duck to water after he scored for the second straight game for new club Lillestrom SK. He first came off the bench to salvage a 2-2 draw at Ham Kam in the opening game of the new season in Norway. Ex-Flying Eagles triker Akor then followed that up with the opening goal in a 4-0 home win over Jerv as Lillestrom remain unbeaten in the new season.

4.Joe Aribo
The versatile midfielder scored for champions Rangers to smash four goals past St.Mirren and keep on the pressure on league leaders and bitter rivals Celtic. He has continued to enjoy a fine run in Scotland and it is just a matter of time before he takes his game to a higher level amid speculations of interests from across the border.
3.Victor Osimhen
Napoli may have slipped in the title race in Italy after they fell 3-2 at home to Fiorentina, but the personal stocks of their Nigeria striker has continued to rise after he scored a top-class goal and provided an assist in that game. Osimhen has now bagged 12 goals in Serie A, just a goal shy of his most prolific season in Europe, both in France and Belgium.

2. Ademola Lookman
The RB Leipzig loanee has continued to impress at Leicester City after he scored his fifth Premier League goal in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. The wideman has done enough to earn a permanent transfer to ‘The Foxes’ by the end of the season. It has been an eventful season for Lookman, who also made his long-awaited Super Eagles debut after changing his international allegiance.
1.Terem Moffi
FC Lorient will again count on the goals of Terem Moffi to stay put in the French Ligue 1 this season, as they did last term. The young striker is therefore delivering at crunch time with the latest being his brace in the 6-2 home win over troubled Saint Etienne. He enjoyed the best individual rating and his club again look good to survive the dreaded drop. He has now netted seven goals in Ligue 1. The real question will be – will the club now allow Moffi to take the next big step of his career thereafter?
