This past weekend was a story of the new and the old for Nigeria stars abroad as young guns Terem Moffi and Abdulrahman Taiwo took their chances in Europe, while experienced campaigner Mikel Obi has continued to show class for his championship-chasing club in Turkey.
5.Victor Osimhen
The Super Eagles star netted his 13th goal in Ligue 1 even though his club Lille lost in front of their fans to second-placed Olympique Marseille. He is now only three goals behind the leading scorer in the French league.
4. Asisat Oshoala
There is simply no stopping the sensational Super Falcons skipper after she came off the bench to score a brace in Barcelona Ladies 7-0 mauling of Sporting Huelva. The African Footballer of the Year has now scored 23 goals in 25 matches in all competitions this season. She is now the fourth leading scorer across Europe.

3.Abdulrahman Taiwo
The Abuja-born striker got off to life in the Czech Republic with a debut goal for Karvina to beat fellow strugglers Zlin 2-0 at home. His new club will be banking on the goals of the former Nigeria U23 star to ensure they stay up in the Czech top flight. He has already proved he knows his way to goal in Slovenia.
2.Mikel Obi
The former Super Eagles skipper has continued to be consistent for championship-chasing Trabzonspor and that was again evident in a crucial 2-1 home win over erstwhile league leaders Sivasspor. He has not been affected by a recent racists’ row and Trabzonspor are now top of the Super Lig, a point ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir and have a game in hand. Could Mikel be on the cusp of yet another major trophy in Europe after a highly successful time at Chelsea in England?

1.Terem Moffi
The 20-year-old striker has continued to warm his way to the hearts of the fans at Belgian club KV Kortrijk after he fired his third goal in five appearances. He opened the scoring in the second half at KV Oostend to inspire his team to a 3-0 road win. He also posted a solid performance. After just a handful of matches, Kortrijk already look like they pulled off a great transfer coup in January by taking a chance on the centre-forward, who last season scored goals for fun in Lithuania.
