SCORENigeria Top 5: King Osimhen reigns supreme
The poster boy of Nigeria football, Victor Osimhen, is the leading scorer in the UEFA Champions League with six goals ahead of Earling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane. His hat-trick sunk home team Ajax for Galatasaray to stay within touching distance of the Top-8 of the Champions League.

5.Emeka Eze
The much-traveled striker has continued to prove he still got it after he scored a goal and made another for Corum FK to beat Igdir 3-1 at home in the Turkish second-tier league. The 29-year-old striker has now got three goals and made two assists. His club are fifth on the table and very much within the promotion playoffs bracket with 25 points from 13 matches.
4.Salim Fago Lawal
The former Flying Eagles striker scored twice for his Croatian club NK Istra to shock second-placed Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 in the league. He has now fired five goals and made two assists for his club this season. This big home win has lifted his club to fourth with 19 points from 13 matches.

3.Fred Onyedinma
He netted a brace for Wycombe Wanderers to cruise past Leyton Orient 4-1 in the English League One. He has now scored five goals in the English third-tier league. Wanderers are now 13th in the standings with 19 points from 15 matches.
2.Paul Onauchu
He may again have been snubbed by the Super Eagles for this week’s 2026 World Cup Playoffs in Morocco, but the giant striker is the joint leading scorer in the Turkish Super Lig after he got his eighth goal in a 1-1 home draw with Alanyaspor. He must continue to deliver for Trabzonspor to be recalled in time for next month’s AFCON in Morocco.

1.Victor Osimhen
The star striker was the name on every lip after he grabbed a hat-trick for Galatasaray to win 3-0 at Ajax in the UEFA Champions League. And so, he bagged the Man of the Match award as well as the match ball. He is now top of the Champions League goals chart with six goals and the most prolific Nigerian in European club competitions. It is therefore not surprising that Europe’s top guns like Barcelona and PSG are circling around the 26-year-old hitman again. Galatasaray can hope for a fine run in the Champions League this season thanks to the goals of Osimhen, who has already declared the Turkish champions plan to make history in Europe’s elite club competition.
