Just as he stole the show against Real Betis in the quarterfinal of the Copa del Rey, Ademola Lookman again inspired Atletico Madrid to destroy Catalan giants Barcelona in the semifinal of the cup competition.

5. Paul Mukairu
After rather difficult three years at Danish club FC Copenhagen, the 26-year-old striker is quietly but steadily getting his career back on track in Poland with Pogon Szczecin. He underlined this fact by netting his fifth goal in Ekstraklasa this season for his team to secure three precious points at the expense of Arka Gdynia as they battle to stay up in the top division. He is now his team’s second leading scorer and his goals will be crucial in their fight to stay up. They are 13th in the standings with 25 points from 21 matches, three points outside the relegation zone.
4. Salim Fago Lawal
The recently capped Super Eagles striker has got his coach at Czech club Viktoria Plzen gushing after he got his first goal since his arrival last month from Croatia. The 23-year-old striker was a direct replacement for fellow Nigerian star Rafiu Durosinmi, who transferred to Pisa SC in the Italian Serie A. He opened scoring for his new club as they went on to win 2-1 at Sigma Olomouc and stay in third place on the table, three points behind Sparta Praha. Plzen coach Martin Hysky was pleased with his latest addition. “We are happy to have him here because this is exactly the type of striker that will help us be dangerous,” he remarked. “I am happy that he can handle the number nine position. He is also capable of playing elsewhere on the pitch. I believe he will get better and better.”
3.Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi
The former Flying Eagles striker, who made the Super Eagles provisional squad for the 2025 AFCON, fired his third goal of the season for OH Leuven in the battle of the strugglers against Dender. The home win eased the relegation pressure on his team, who are now just a point away from safety with five matches to the end of the regular season.

2.Victor Osimhen
The Super Eagles star striker turned from scorer to provider as he made two goals for Galatasaray to thrash Eyupspor 5-1 and consolidate their leadership of the Turkish Super Liga. They have 55 points from 22 matches, three points ahead of closest rivals Fenerbache as the league approaches the business end. This was also a confidence booster for both Osimhen and the defending Turkish champions as they welcome mighty Juventus in a UEFA Champions League Playoff Wednesday night.
1.Ademola Lookman
For the second week running, ‘Mola’ shone in the Spanish cup competition, Copa del Rey and this time out it was against mighty Barcelona. Like he did against Real Betis in the quarterfinal, Ademola Lookman helped himself to a goal and an assist for Atletico to put down Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg of the semifinal. He has most certainly brought a lot of excitement and expectations to Atletico, who though will have to improve on their results in La Liga after they fell 3-0 to city rivals Rayo Vallecano. It was a second straight loss in the league for Atletico after the home loss to Real Betis with their Nigerian signing a late substitute while fueling speculations over his fitness for Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Club Brugge in Belgium.
