Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar has been included on the Super Eagles provisional squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe later this month.
A top source close to the 26-year-old striker informed SCORENigeria:”Sadiq is on the provisional squad for the World Cup qualifiers.
“He has fully returned from the serious injury he suffered last year.
“He has been a consistent goal scorer in Europe for the past five years.”
Nigeria welcome Lesotho to Uyo on November 16, before they travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to take on Zimbabwe in continuation of the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup.
Last month, Sadiq featured for the Eagles in friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal.
He played at the delayed 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
He represented Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where Nigeria clinched a bronze medal.
