SCORENigeria can specially report that midfielder Alhassan Yusuf looks set to quit Belgian champions Antwerp in January.
The 23-year-old midfielder has two years left on his contract at Antwerp, but as he is not guaranteed regular first-team football, he will opt to exit.
It will now be left for Antwerp to be willing to sell him for a handsome profit after they spent under 2 Million Euros to buy him from Swedish club IFK Goteborg.
His most recent suitors include FC Porto, Sporting Lisbon, Hellas Verona and Strasbourg.
Alhassan, who is now on the Super Eagles radar, is back on the Antwerp starting XI beginning from the UEFA Champions League home game against FC Porto last month because his direct rival Mandela Keita is injured.
Ironically, the Nigerian midfielder lost his place to Keita when he suffered an ankle injury that took too long to heal.
This season, Antwerp broke the bank to seal a permanent transfer of OH Leuven ace Keita, who has since been called up by the Red Devils of Belgium.
He will be expected to reclaim his first-team spot when he is fit again.
