Scottish champions Rangers have said they will not release Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and possibly Calvin Bassey to the Super Eagles for the AFCON before the Old Firm Derby against Celtic.
The Super Eagles will open training camp on December 28 in Uyo.
Celtic host The Old Firm Derby on January 2, 2022.
Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst said: “Any players featuring at the Africa Cup of Nations will be here for the Old Firm match before being released.”
Rangers are currently top of the table with 45 points from 18 matches, four points clear of rivals Celtic.
