Premier League club Fulham are now ever closer to signing Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu after they moved nearer the expectations of Turkish giants Trabzonspor.
According to Fanatik, Fulham’s acquisition of Chibuike Nwaiwu is imminent.
It has been reported that the English side are very close to adding the Nigerian centre-back to their squad and will pay the Turkish club 25 million euros transfer fee plus five million euros in bonuses.
Fulham have been conducting negotiations for Nwaiwu for weeks and the talks are in the final stage.
The gap in negotiations between Fulham and Trabzonspor has reduced significantly, with payment terms and the upfront fee being key points.
The discussed transfer fee is over 25 million Euro, and Trabzonspor’s total expectation, including easily achievable bonuses, is around 30 million euros.
Fulham have offered Nwaiwu a salary of around 2.5 million euros.
The player is currently training with Trabzonspor at their Austria pre-season camp and is waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement.
