Media reports suggest the NFF will soon appoint Portuguese Jose Peseiro new coach of the Super Eagles and he will be on a monthly salary of $50,000.
According to Sporting Sun, Peseiro will come to Nigeria with two full-time assistants – a fitness coach and match reader.
The NFF and Peseiro are expected to finalise an agreement soon.
Peseiro was originally to take over the Eagles after the AFCON in Cameroon in February, before the temporary appointment of Augustine Eguavoen was extended to cover the ill-fated 2022 World Cup playoffs against Ghana.
Peseiro will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf, Finidi George and Usman Abdalla.
