Nigeria today moved a step closer to featuring at this year’s U17 World Cup in India after they trounced their Egyptian counterparts 4-0 in the first leg of the qualifiers in Abuja.
The return leg will be played in a fortnight in Egypt with the overall winners up against the winners of the clash between South Africa and Ethiopia.
Opeyemi Ajakaye opened scoring for the Flamingoes after 28 minutes, before Omowunmi Bello made it 2-0 10 minutes later.
Miracle Usani increased the tally with a low shot on 54 minutes.
Bello completed her brace in the 62nd minute.
