Former Flying Eagles defender Valentine Ozornwafor has bid farewell to Turkish giants Galatasaray as he opened door for a new adventure.
Ozornwafor joined Galatasaray in 2020, but failed to break into the first team and had to be shipped out on loan to UD Almeria (Spain) and most recently to Charleroi in Belgium.
“It’s a new chapter but before I flip the page, I will like to send a big thank you message to Galatasaray, the board, the coaching crew, the team and the fans,” the central defender said in his goodbye message.
“Thank you for the love, Istanbul will always be my home. We shall meet in the future if God permits.”
Ozornwafor, who has won a handful of caps for the Super Eagles, has now been linked with French second division club Sochaux after it looked like he could stay put in Belgium with Charleroi.
