After some woeful finishing, Victor Osimhen scored twice for Napoli to force a 2-2 draw at Leicester City in a thrilling Group C tie of the UEFA Europa League, while compatriot Wilfred Ndidi saw red in the closing minutes.
Osimhen’s brace, the first in the 69th and the second goal three minutes from time – were the first goals by the Super Eagles striker for Napoli this season.
They came after some wayward shooting in front of goal by the Napoli star striker.
Fellow Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho, who led the Leicester City strike force for the first time this season, threaded a glorious through pass in the 64th minute for Leicester to double their early lead.
However, Leicester City were reduced to 10 men when Ndidi was sent off in the stoppage time after his second booking on the night.
He will therefore miss the trip to Group C leaders Legia Warsaw of Poland, who beat Victor Moses’ Spartak Moscow, in a fortnight.
