It was a unique double achievement for Nigeria football at the awards ceremony tonight in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Napoli striker Osimhen became the first Nigeria star since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999 to scoop this prestigious individual award, while Oshoala extended her record to six such awards.
Osimhen saw off competition from Ashraf Hakimi of Morocco and PSG as well as Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Morocco.
Oshoala was picked ahead of Thembi Kgatlana from South Africa and Barbara Banda of Zambia.
