Victor Osimhen is now a serious doubt for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League group game against Liverpool after Napoli announced he picked up a muscle strain against Lazio at the weekend.
Sky Sports Italia confirmed that the striker did not fully participate in today’s training as he worked out on his own on account of the injury problem.
Osimhen played the entire duration for Napoli to win 2-1 at Lazio on Saturday.
Reports suggest he could miss Wednesday’s clash as well as the Serie A game at the weekend against Spezia.
Visiting Liverpool will be a stern test for Napoli, who are top of Serie A with 11 points from five matches.
