Coach Gernot Rohr has indicated Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho will lead the Super Eagles strike force in tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against Liberia with Paul Onuachu on the bench.
He said Osimhen and Iheanacho give the attack the best balance as one is right-footed and the other left-footed, while Onuachu is right-footed.
Rohr further said Onuachu is still trying to get into the Eagles system after joining the squad late due to travel hitch.
“He can come in the second half,” he said.
Rohr further confirmed that eight players based in the UK will not travel to Cape Verde for the next World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
He said the other players on the squad including Osimhen will make the trip to Cape Verde.
