Victor Osimhen has opened up on his ambition in a podcast – play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and win the UEFA Champions League.
“Once I want to play at one of the biggest clubs in the world and win the Champions League. My goal is to become a complete attacker and I improve every way,” said the Lille striker, whose much-awaited transfer to Napoli has yet to be announced.
Osimhen is now valued at 85 million Euros by his French Ligue 1 club.
But he has also suffered rejection after a difficult time at German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.
Belgian clubs Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge both turned him down and he promised he will show them that they had made a mistake.
“Someday I will prove to them that they made a big mistake,” he told his agent as he eventually ended up at another Belgian club, Sporting Charleroi.
“A little later I was also decisive against Club and Zulte ( Osimhen assisted a goal vs Club and scored twice against Zulte Waregem).
“What a wonderful feeling. The choice for Charleroi was justified. It had paid off. ”
