Could it be true that Victor Osimhen has finally agreed to take a pay cut to join fellow Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman at Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid?
Spanish journalist Ruben Uria reported that Osimhen has agreed to slash his huge salary at Galatasaray so as to join Atletico.
The Super Eagles striker was recently proposed to the Spanish club by agents.
It was reported that Osimhen admires the long-serving Atletico coach Diego Simeone and so he is keen to play for him in La Liga.
It was also reported that he desires to live in Madrid and so will now take a pay cut.
However, it is left to be seen if the Spanish club could come up with Galatasaray asking price for Osimhen.
Atletico do not have the cash flow for this transfer, but this could all change were they to sell Julian Alvarez to Barcelona.
It would be a record-breaking transfer fee for Alvarez to move to Barcelona amid the bad blood between both Spanish clubs.
