Super Eagles new call-up Bright Osayi-Samuel has said he hopes he can make the team stronger.
The Fenerbache wingback or fullback has been rewarded by coach Jose Peseiro with a call-up after his displays for the Turkish giants, who are currently top of the Super Lig standings.
The 24-year-old Osayi-Samuel could make his Super Eagles debut against Portugal in a friendly in Lisbon tomorrow night.
“I will play to the very best of my abilities and bring my qualities to make the Super Eagles stronger,” he vowed in an interview of tomorrow’s friendly against Portugal in Lisbon.
“I’m Nigerian and I’m proud to be Nigerian. I’m honoured to play for Nigeria.”
The former QPR, who is partly a Benin native, said he knew about the chance to play for Nigeria about two months ago when Peseiro called up the Fenerbache coach and fellow Portuguese Jorge Jesus.
