Club Brugge holding midfielder shone in a final workout before the Mali match.
Interim coach Finidi George has lined up by far his strongest XI tonight with Kenneth Omeruo the stand-in captain coming in for Benjamin Tanimu after a knock in training kept him out for the Ghana game.
Moses Simon will combine with Kelechi Iheanacho in a twin strike force after he was considered ahead of goal scorer Cyriel Dessers, while Bright Osayi-Samuel and Jamilu Collins will be the starting wing backs in Finidi’s preferred 3-5-2 formation.
