Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has been beaten to the Ebony Boot, the top prize for the best African player of the season in Belgium.
The prize was won by Genk and Morocco defender Zakaria El Ouahdi, who has succeeded former teammate Tolu Arokodare as the best African star in Belgium for this season.
Onyedika and Adem Zorgane of Union St.Gilloise made the shortlist for the award.
Previous Nigerian winners of this award include Daniel Amokachi, Celestine Babayaro, Victor Ikpeba and Godwin Okpara.
