Paul Onuachu is a shadow of the striker who was crowned Goal King of Belgium, according to a top expert.
Onuachu fired 35 goals in 41 games last season, but he has so far failed to hit target in the new season for Genk amid speculations over his future.
The giant striker did not score in the Super Cup loss to Club Brugge and was also not among the goals in a 1-1 draw at Standard Liege in the opening game of the new season.
“For the time being, he (Onuachu) is just a shadow of last season’s Onuachu”, Wim De Coninck told the podcast De Tribune.
Onuachu’s slump in form comes as Genk get set to qualify for the money-spinning group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
They will tackle Shakhtar Donetsk between August 3 and 10.
