Four-goal hero Paul Onuachu has said only Genk can stop themselves from being crowned champions of Belgium this season.
Onuachu fired four goals for Genk to trounce Charleroi 4-1 and move 10 points clear at the top of the Jupiler Pro League Friday night.
He is now the leading scorer in the league with 12 goals and he said he could also be a champion at the end of the season with Genk.
“We are the only ones who can stop ourselves now,” he told Eleven Sports TV.
“As long as the mentality remains, the sky is the limit.”
Onuachu has struck a great partnership with Mike Tresor, who has provided 13 assists this season.
“He’s a fantastic player,” Onuachu said of his teammate. “I just have to raise my hand and then he gives me the ball where I want.”
Tresor himself said the giant size of the Super Eagles striker has made the job of locating him easier on the pitch.
“He is huge and you have to take advantage of that. First it is good to look at him and then you have to try to pass the ball as best as possible,” he explained.
