Paul Onuachu will complete a loan move to a new club and it is not his former Belgian club Genk.
According to L’Equipe, Southampton have agreed to loan out the giant striker to French club Metz.
Genk have been eyeing a return for the prolific Onuachu, but they cannot afford the asking price of his English club.
Genk received 18 Million Euros for Onuachu in January, but rather unfortunately his dream transfer to the Premier League ended in disaster.
Southampton were relegated and the striker failed to score a goal or even make any meaningful impact in a dozen appearances in the Premier League.
At some point in time, a swap deal involving Joseph Paintsil was even considered, but in the end the Ghana international winger insisted he did not want to go in the opposite direction.
Genk will be under pressure to sign a prolific striker before the transfer deadline day of September 6 in Belgium as both Tolu Arokodare and Yira Sor have failed to deliver goals on a regular basis.
